Kids cookery equipment

DS is 6 and has decided he wants to be a Chef. He’s also a really picky eater so I want to encourage this phase- maybe he’ll eat more foods if he’s prepared it.
I would like to get him some child safe knives/ kitchen scissors and a few other things to help
Any recommendations?
TIA

My instinct is that the best option is decent quality real kitchenware. You’re more likely to cut yourself on a blunt knife as it may jump. My DS (age 5) handles our kitchen kit with supervision and DS2 (age 2) cuts with us holding the knife with him.

I’ve seen these recommended before but don’t have them myself yet.

At 6, he is probably best using normal equipment, as delurkingAJ says, blunt or "safety" equipment is more likely to cause a problem and at 6 the hands will be big enough to use them and the kid responsible enough to take instruction.
