How to sell on FB without a proper FB profile

I have loads of baby stuff to sell - I’ve never really done FB: reminds me of secondary school....I live in a smallish place and find it a bit odd that everyone knows everything about everyone without actually speaking to them...anyway round here people sell on FB. Have no idea how to do this. At all. And, if I set up an account just to sell would people see it’s essential a blank profile and not buy fm me?? I spend hours looking at my phone as it is - I don’t want to get sucked into it. Would you buy from a profile that was new with no added friends etc - or can you hide that?? Any advice much appreciated. X

Set up a FB profile in your maiden name or just first and second name - that way 'people' can't find you!!

You can hide your friends lists (even if you don't have any)

You can be added to a number of groups - I find FB useful for school info, brownies, what's on, special deals on restaurants etc - it's free for advertisers so tends to be updated regularly.

Set up messenger as well and you don't want to post your address online.

If they want it - they will buy from you

You could try Gumtree - it works in a similar way without being on FB?
