Diced casserole beef in water (just to cover). Been in 2 hours on high and an hour and half on low. It's tough as old boots and I need help to rescue it please. I need to cook it plain due to child with special needs, will add roasted veg as a side. More water? less water? take it out and put into oven? HELP!

Yes it needs much longer. I tend to put my slow cocker on for 6-8 hours.

I agree. Keep it going, it will be lovely tomorrow! I usually do mine for 10 hours on low.

Yes, much longer. I would usually do it at least 6 hours on high, that's with warm stock to start it off with.

Haha well....... I loved it. Girl wasn’t hungry, boy ate half, husband sniffed at it. Made yorkie puds and everything!! I think I will freeze the rest and surprise them with a pie next month :-D
