Stupid things Google Maps makes you do

I'll start. Taking us past St Mary's football stadium in Southampton 20 minutes till kick off whilst on our way to catch a ferry. Absolute bloody gridlock!

Took us down a footpath in Devon 😂

Took us through fields on ever smaller roads and tracks till we got to a locked gate.

A young lad came in to my work building for a job interview with a company that's actually a few doors down. When I said he'd got the wrong building, he very rudely told me that it must be in my building because Google maps said so. Tosser. I wish I'd phoned the company a few doors down and advised them not to give him the job.

Oh and when it took us on foot across a bog to get to a lighthouse. Buggy wheels sinking 😫

A friend's baby's christening was also memorable for taking us to a field gate 'you have arrived'. We definitely hadn't! Super late in the end.

I’m not entirely sure google maps says this but ‘proceed to the route’ said with great authority. Well if I knew the route I wouldn’t be using you. And she absolutely murders French road names!

0hCrepe got in before me, how is "proceed to the route" any help at all? Might as well say "Drive to your destination"

Telling me to take a right to arrive at my destination...to my right was a fenced in cow pasture and it looked nothing like a Wal-Mart parking lot.
