Any ideas how to get the stickiness off him?

No idea but you've made me laugh. Sorry. Poor man, hope it's not stuck in his hair.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 12/08/2018 14:05

He's tried a few things and it's not working, and he's going to see Mission Impossible in a few minutes.

He might get some clues there

ProudThrilledHappy · 12/08/2018 14:07

Its an adhesive so possibly nail varnish remover or vinegar?

An oil may also work ( i.e. baby oil)

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 12/08/2018 14:07

Just his hands, thankfully. He seems to have achieved some success with WD40, but it keeps coming back apparently.

Nail polish remover might work as long as he doesn't use too much & overpower the cinema.

LadyPenelopeCantDance · 12/08/2018 14:10

Wd40? The oil would break down the glue.

LadyPenelopeCantDance · 12/08/2018 14:11

Ah cross post

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 12/08/2018 14:12

Oh, he's done it again now. It was on his clothes and he got re-stuck when he tried to get changed.

Funny thing is, it's been up for two months and hasn't caught any flies at all.

Vegetable oil will release him 😂

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 12/08/2018 14:21

he's going to see Mission Impossible in a few minutes
In that case give in to it. Stick some to his back and he can suspend himself from the ceiling of the cinema. It’ll be like an interactive experience that way.

JackReacherReader · 12/08/2018 15:06

@Judashascomeintosomemoney Grin that really made me laugh!

AGnu · 12/08/2018 15:15

The flies have been conspiring against you & put a mysterious substance on the fly paper which has now turned him into a fly-man. The "stickiness" he's experiencing is actually what lets flies climb walls - that's why it keeps coming back. Has he tried climbing the walls? It might just take him a while to get used to his new superpower.

MsHomeSlice · 12/08/2018 15:19

are you married to Jeff Goldblum?

Randomly I discovered that Avon's original Skin So Soft spray removes this the other day. I found myself in a similar situation and when I googled it suggested cooking oil which I didn't have but I did have a bottle of the Avon stuff so I sprayed it all over my hands and washed them under cold running water. It worked a treat!

lettuceWrap · 12/08/2018 15:53

Mrshomeslice, damn, you beat me to the punchline Grin

WhatchaMaCalllit · 12/08/2018 16:56

Pity he didn't go see Ant Man & The Wasp....

Penfold007 · 12/08/2018 17:19

A plain oil such as baby, olive or sunflower will unstick your DH.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 12/08/2018 19:32

Grin Will show him this thread. Love the suggestion of suspending himself from the ceiling.

Not Jeff Goldblum sadly, just someone who is excellent at injuring himself in (mostly) minor but interesting ways. This is a quiet day for him.

He did actually think about going to Ant Man and the Wasp. Might have been a bit of a buzz-kill though (see what I did there)

Has he tried sex lube yet?

LookImAHooman · 12/08/2018 19:42

Friend did this. Washing up liquid sorted it!

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 12/08/2018 19:45

There’s no flies on him! Grin
