He's mid-30s, a professional and he does have two specific hobbies but he's a very high level in both and way above what I know! So I can't really get him anything related to those.

He's IMPOSSIBLE to buy for. In the past he hasn't been remotely interested in his birthday so it's really hard to gauge what he would like!

So far, I'm thinking a homemade birthday cake, lovely cards from me and dc, but then......what else?! Just little things.

TIA!

I'd take him out for a really gorgeous meal in a lovely location. Or if you have the funds a mini break.

Get him a Nitecore keyring torch and/or a Spyderco Bug keyring folding knife. They're incredibly bright/sharp and really useful to have with you all the time. DH and my dad are both impossible to buy for and loved these.

We're having a nice birthday dinner next Sat with friends. He works away a LOT as well so time at home is very precious to him, he won't want to go away.....

I would suggest a night in at home alone if you can get someone to have dc. Cook a meal, watch a film he likes and go to bed Wink

I brought DH a SkySports HD package his year.

He rarely goes out and every now and then mentions he's missing a match, or the cricket etc.. so this is the first present in 10 years he is impressed with, he loves it!

You could do movies, Box sets, Netflix as an alternative to sports

What - I went with your suggestions and he loves them! Thank you xx
