Anyone else been paid child tax credit 2x this month?

Anyone with no experience or the benefit system probably wondering why I don’t just ring HMRC.

Reality is there is no such thing as a quick call to the HMRC. I’ll have to set aside an afternoon!

Very strange. Paid usually £470 on usual day at the beginning of the month.

Just checked account and I see £416.18 has been paid in to my account, also “Child Tax Credit”.

Anyone else? So almost £900 in a week. Both “Child Tax Credit”

Can you logged on online to check payments?

When renewals are done due by 31st of July can get an extra payment to cover any shortfalls that may of happened the previous year.

This was because of a recent change and was to help you get the right amount of tax credits

One off payment and what’s the explanation. I can’t think of any change whatsoever and certainly that I’ve notified the HMRC.

Oh well, that’s spending money for next week on holiday sorted then!
