Profile picture and cover photo not showing at the top of page

I have only just recently started up a face book account. But on my own page, my profile picture and cover photo are not at the top. But instead under compose post box and only sit in the central portion so quite a lot smaller. Also my friends list, timeline and photos are not listed under my cover photo. I am just confused why mine is different to everyone else and if I can have my picture and cover photo across the top of my page like everyone else. I have got a lot of privacy settings set but surely it should still display the same?

Not sure but have you made sure your profile pic and cover page are public?
Also it could depend on what you are using to view your page. On my phone app my page looks very diffent to when I log on a laptop.

I am on a laptop. Did log in on my phone after but have removed from phone now. Yes my profile is public as public comes up when I hover over icon. Very strange.

Are you sure it's in the profile picture box and not the featured photos bit?

It states I have added a cover photo by the cover photo and states I have updated my profile picture. So pretty sure it is right

I have tried filling in the report on face book to see what happens as basically if you look at a normal profile page, mine is the same bar the cover/profile pic and icons for timeline/ about /friends/ archive and more. I don't have any of those. The profile pic that I am seeing is centre like when it is announced updated on your profile rather than seeing it set at the top and I have the compose post above? I have not posted anything yet as new but when I do that profile picture may probably move down the page I am guessing.

That looks like your feed page, mine looks like that. If you click on your name it should take you to your profile and hopefully your profile pic and cover photo should appear.

I know it does look like that but it is when I click on my name, my home (which I think means feed page) looks very similar to it definitely.

Has add life event on the profile one but not on the home page (feed) Surrounding areas are different which you cant see on those pictures. Like friends on the left hand side of the profile page but like news feed ect is left on the home (feed)

What you need is someone to have a look at your Facebook IRL to figure out what your settings are. Anyone who has been on there a while should be able to help you.

Thanks gamerchick. I have asked my ds but he hasn't a clue but didn't look at my settings. Yes I will have to get someone to come over and have a look for me at some point.

Well if anyone else has this it looks like some kind of glitch. My db noticed my profile was displaying fine on mobiles or face book app on windows 10 but not on the browsers. This morning it is now displaying properly on my browser except for the cover photo area being white. So maybe I will change the cover at some point. Just happy to have it all displaying properly now at least. So it doesn't appear to be any setting I have done thank goodness.
