Cleaner

We've had a new cleaner for roughly 4 months. She comes once a week and the clean is generally very good. I've noticed the last month or so hasn't been quite as thorough but I had left it to see if it's gets better again or worse etc. Anyway, every time she's been to clean I have been at work and she charges for 3 hours cleaning. Which was acceptable to me as we have a 3 storey house and she does iron my husbands shirts. I've been off work this week and went out for just over an hour today and when I got back the cleaner had been and gone!!! The house looks the same level of clean as does most weeks and shirts have been ironed. Do I text her and ask what's going on, does she only do 1 hour normally? I don't even see how she manages to do it all in an hour!! Or do I wait until the end of the month to see what she charges for? I'm really annoyed!!

Can you message her and ask if all is OK as you noticed she only stayed an hour?

MumaD · 12/07/2018 15:37

Yeah, i could, just not sure what to do for the best now? I don't know if I trust her now Hmm

I would guess that she had someone with her?

I would message her & ask, & if she did then let her know it's not acceptable to bring unknown (to you) people into your home without your authorising it.

As far as I'm aware she works alone. She also cleans for my friend (who is always home when she's cleaning) and has only ever cleaned alone? I'll speak to my husband when he gets home and then contact her. I hate this kind of thing, it's so awkward!

COuld she have come earlier if she has your keys? Or did you let her in?

blackbirdbluebottle · 12/07/2018 15:52

I would ask if everything was okay as she went after an hour and that you should get a partial refund as she only did 1 hour

MumaD · 12/07/2018 15:52

I left the house at 12.50 and got back about 2.05pm. I didn't see her arrive or leave, so she can't have been there much longer than 1 hour?!

Do as blackbird says: definitely ask for your money back!

MumaD · 12/07/2018 16:03

She may have help and they split the money for an hour and a half each. She must be good if she does all that so quickly . It takes me hours to clean my house too to bottom .. and ironing on top of that ?! .. is she the Flash ?? 🤔🤔

MumaD · 12/07/2018 16:42

I've text her to ask if everything is ok, but I haven't had a reply yet. I guess she's cleaning another clients house at the mo!

Probably coming up with an excuse!

KitNCaboodle · 12/07/2018 23:39

I would have said she has someone with her too

MumaD · 14/07/2018 07:13

I would have assumed if she had an extra person with her that she would have replied, but I haven't heard anything back from her!! Guess I'll have to wait and see if she turns up next week...

Wow. You might not see her next week then Confused
Maybe your friend can ask her if she turns up for her! She could say you’re worried Hmm
