A few weeks ago I was crossing the road to go into my daughter's school and by the road there was a child about 3 years standing by himself so i walked him back into school, there was a lady with about 5 children talking to another lady I asked if she knew who's the child was, she said he was with her so i mentioned that he was stood by the road on his own her response was he knows not to cross the road...between the school and the crossing is a massive bush which you can't see the road from! I've since found out she's a child minder and she looks after my friends grandson should I say something to my friend! Just think it's a bit irresponsible for her to let a child out of her sight onto a busy road! She hadn't even realised he had gone because she was talking to another mum.

I think it's your duty to have a word with the mum. It might not have such a happy ending next time!

Yes. I'd have a word.

If she’s a registered childminder i would say report to ofsted/local authority.

And to the Mum. Sorry but what If something had happened?
