Should I tell about the school?

Long story short, we rented a house near a school and it turns out the school is not what we’d hoped. Staff are leaving (including the head) as are pupils, and it’s living on a (very good) review from many years ago (long overdue an inspection).

The lettings agency have been showing people around, one of whom is coming back today. Agent says she’s moving specifically for the school.

As a parent who has removed her children from this school for serious reasons, do I warn her? Only if she asks? Keep out of it?

I think because they are moving specifically for the school then I'd have to tell them. If it wasn't the main reason for their move I wouldn't.

The woman actually asked me why we were moving when she came the first time and I said we were moving because of schools, but didn’t elaborate. I wish I had said more now.

Any more opinions?

If I was trying to sell my house I might keep schtum, but as it's renting yes tell them

Just to say I wouldn't deliberately not tell the agent, but I would tell the people directly.

I did mention it to the agent last week when he was here waiting for someone to turn up, that was before he mentioned this woman. He asked why we were moving and I told him.

Don’t suppose he cares as long as he gets a let. He might not even remember.

Don’t tell them, the only people you will get buying the house are people interested in it for the school. They can move schools if they don’t have any issues. Keep quiet!
