Cancelling babysitting

Due to husband's illness I don't need a babysitter for tomorrow night. I have sent an apologetic text to the babysitter (my friend's daughter) but do I still need to offer her cash?

What would you do?

No, just ask her to do another night instead.

I babysit every Friday and Saturday night. I often get 3 or 4 families wanting to book me and if I commit to one family and then they cancel I am out of pocket. I am fortunate that the families I do have pay me £30 if they cancel with less than 24 hours notice. It is really appreciated.

One of my regular family's booked me for NYE last year and cancelled the night before but still paid me £80 for the hours they'd booked me for.

I do babysitting. If someone cancelled the night before I would not expect to be paid.
When your husband is better ask her to sit again so that she still gets the pay but at a later date.

Thanks for the replies. She seems ok with it, but I will get another date in the diary
