He's an email/Facebook friend so I have limited contact details for him, and I've already contacted our mutual friends. He has a developmental condition that makes him process emotions differently, and is currently very low about a bust-up with a female friend, he's been telling me about recent behaviour towards her that's over the line into stalking/harassment IMO, although he can't seem to see it.

I'm wondering if his ex-friend has called him on the behaviour or taken action, as he just messaged 'goodbye' and deactivated his FB. The dilemma I have is that he's done this before, frequently, when life has got on top of him. He's more low now than I have ever heard him, though, and although I'm hoping he's just talking things through with his parents whom he lives with, I'm still worried. The FB friends I have in common with him haven't heard from him today either, he normally emails one of them daily, as he does me.

I don't have any other contact details for him... WWYD?

(Hope this post isn't outing, but I'm in a real dilemma here as I'm worried for his safety.)

If you had any info on his whereabouts I'd say to call 999 and they would do a welfare check but as you don't I don't think there's anything you can do unfortunately.

Phew. Fortunately he's just responded to a message I've sent asking him to just reply 'I'm OK', so at least I know now he's not tried anything silly. I've let him know I'm around if he needs to talk, hopefully he is just 'taking stock' and I know he does discuss things with his parents, so hopefully they are looking after him.
