Noisy neighbour

A new neighbour has moved into my block. He’s noisy and quite intimidating, pervy too. It’s always been a very quiet area and this has all really unsettled me. I keep thinking of all these awful things he “might do to me, DC or DH”. If I hear the door slam late at night I panic and can’t sleep for ages. I literally break out in a sweat and cling onto DH with my eyes wide open listening to see what’s happening. I know neither he, nor his company, has any reason to do anything to me or my family but I’m petrified. I avoid going home before DH and speak on the phone on my way in or out so I’ve got an excuse not to speak to him.
I honestly don’t know what to do.

How is he pervy?

What’s he doing, does he try and speak to you? Has he done anything that’s making you worried he might do something again?

How is he intimidating?

You seriously need to chill out. Slamming doors is classed as normal noise - try living next to rea anti social noisy neighbours !

Poor guy - big and slams doors and you have him labelled

Pervy because he’s repeatedly told us how pretty my 12 yr old DD is, even after we told him her age. I’d guess he’s around 50. He’s not particularly big but he’s intimidating because he’s always in a large group in communal areas that I have no choice but to walk through and he goes quiet and just stares when one of us walks through. I’m quite an anxious person anyway but this has now brought it to another level.
@StoorieHoose I would love to chill out but I’m not sure how to on this one. Call me sheltered if you like but I’ve never lived anywhere really noisy.
