Will my landlord kick us out if I tell him we're struggling?

I'm going to be short on rent this month. I've been late a couple of times in the past few months but it's always been paid.

I'm self employed and my business has taken a bit of a dip.

Should I be honest with the landlord? Is he likely just to ask me to leave?

Be honest as it gives him time to make adjustments. He may have a mortgage to cover so it's best to be honest as soon as possible.

Tell him when you can make up the shortfall and make sure you do. If you're late often then perhaps you need to look for somewhere cheaper?
