First allergic reaction to eating nuts :(

So teen has eaten something which has nuts in, made her throat burn and couldn't breathe properly, lots of coughing.

She came home, taken antihistamine (already taking them for severe hayfever) and it isn't getting worse. Her friend isn't home to confirm exactly what she eat but has said it had nuts in.

I'm worried because I know the next time the reaction could be heightened. Obviously DD will avoid eating nuts. Any experience of whether the Dr will even take this seriously as she hasn't been rushed to see anyone medical?

Won't be going to bed anytime soon either Sad

Book in for a gp appt and request a referral to your local allergy clinic. They can do further tests and advise further

That's my plan I just have a feeling they won't take it seriously and I'll get fobbed off!
