CF cleaner?

Okay so, I have just collected my cleaner (she doesn’t drive). 15 min round trip to collect her and bring her to my house. I take her home again around 4pm.
She has worked for me for a long time - 10yrs plus.
Arrived at my house and she tells me she is expecting a dress to be delivered today. When the courier phones her, can I take her home to get the parcel, then bring her back to mine to finish her work !
I was planning on going out this morning for an hour but now I find myself having to stay at home waiting for her parcel to arrive !
Do I just go out and do what I had planned ((quick food shop- which could wait until tomorrow) or do I wait in for her parcel ?

I'd wait this time but make it clear that it'll be the last time.
Would you allow her to changer her delivery address to your house in future?
Is it an important parcel?

I'd say if she's worked for you 10 years and nothing like this has happened before, give her the benefit of the doubt. It is a bit cheeky but all manner of working people struggle to be in for parcels. It may be important, even if it doesn't seem to be critical your cleaner might need whatever it is for tomorrow. As pp said maybe allow her to use your address when she knows she is going to be there? I don't think it would really affect you as long as you know she will be there when it arrives. Food shop you've said can wait until tomorrow - it shouldn't have to of course but if it's a one off - or the parcel may arrive soon and you'll have chance to nip out after.

Thank you for the replies. I have waited in, I’d feel bad if she missed the delivery. She is waiting for dress that is ment for a wedding at the weekend

Why on earth are you picking her up? A cleaner who can't get to other people's houses to clean... Grin

PinkHeart5914 · 07/06/2018 12:12

A cleaner that doesn’t drive 😂 anyone can clean why are you picking one up? Weird!

Like how does she get to clients? Do they all pick her up?

Mxyzptlk · 07/06/2018 12:13

You find yourself waiting in? I'd have said "No, sorry, I have something arranged" and then gone out.

You're not only waiting, but transporting her, all in her paid working time?? Does she wipe her shoes on you, on her way in, also?

Hmm On so many levels...

Quick update
I did wait in for her delivery, which she received a text to say, it was due to arrive at her house at 3.30pm. I took her home an hour early.
For those if you who have asked - She uses public transport to get to most of her jobs but I don’t have a bus route near me - so I have to pick her up and take her home.
My OH thinks I’m mad !!Confused
