Just signed up to this. Looks great my kids will love it

SparrowWoman · 25/05/2018 13:54

I think I look forward to it more than my children!
We're going to install a wildlife pond as part of it.
Any special plans for yours?

We have a tiny garden but will be installing a container garden pond, putting up some bird feeders and bird houses. Cant wait

I've read people saying so many times that if we build it they will come, amazing to think I I put water in the middle of a housing estate, that we could get frogs or newts!

Our kit arrived this morning. We bought a 2nd hand bird bath and installed it in the garden. The little birds (clueless😁) next door seem impressed. Whats everyone else done

Day three! Day 1 was slow for but we blew dandelions and studied the life cycle, watched a dandelion time lapse video on YouTube which was good.
Day 2 we went to our local beach, paddled, played with seaweed, collected shells and an egg case to identify. Common whelk I think.
Day 3 today is probably our biggest outing of the month but we did a ferry boat trip and saw seals and puffins.
Tomorrow I think we will make fat balls for the garden birds.

We planted the little bits of paper impregnated with seeds. Dc back to school this week, so it might just be me doing this

SparrowWoman · 04/06/2018 21:51

Oh thanks for the reminder. I'm go by to put our seeds in gaps between the grass and walls where weeds usually grow.
I took the youngest to the duck pond today, we saw cygnets, ducklings, swallows and a heron. Not sure about tomorrow yet
