My Best Friend has just told me what is wrong with MY life

My BF has just phoned me and told me (I am divorced, teenagers, just turned 50, having the time of my life!), "do you know what you need...." I need a boyfriend (in his 50's), who is divorced with kids (no thanks, other peoples kids.......no thank you!)
I have to stop being extravagant, too many holidays (I go overseas once a month)
I need to get a proper job (no thank you, and be bossed around in an office - I currently potter about and cook for people - and earn equivalent of what I used to earn working in London)
I need to stop buying clothes (nothing fits me from last year, yes I have put on 1 stone, which she cannot believe). I bought 2 skirts from Next, £20 each. Hardly Harvey Nicks.
I have to stop hanging out with my loser friends (who are good company for me, they are all retired, and I meet up in the pub with them once a week, as I live on my own).
I need to get myself out and meet proper men (easier said than done....been divorced 10 years now and I have met every a/s out there).

I just thanked her for taking the time to coach me and I appreciated her advice (yawn).

What would you have done?? (I love my life, btw, I am happy and living for every moment).

Holidays once a month. Please can we swap lives?

No idea about the friend though.

She's jealous. Laugh all the way to your next holiday. You sound happy! 😊

What would you have done??

Laughed like a drain and then asked her if she saw last nights Corrie.

Your life sounds great! I think your answer was very gracious.
If she tries again, your answer is already in your post - that last sentence says it all.

Have you ever given her any reason to think you need help, eg by talking about money problems/saying you hate being single and dating inappropriate men etc?

If not, is she basically suggesting that you should be just like her? Is it possible that she feels you should be envying her more?
