I reported my ex for rape -- anyone else been through this?

My abusive ex boyfriend abused me psychologically, physically and mentally and he also raped me on two occasions.

I reported it to the police a few weeks ago. I had to do a videotaped interview about the rapes. It was a horrible experience. The police apparently then went to my ex's home or workplace and told him to come in for an 'interview under caution' on a specific date.

I've just heard that he failed to even show up for the interview under caution, claiming he didn't feel too well. On the very same day he didn't show up fort the interview, he was posting pics of himself on social media, relaxing in the sun, as if he didn't have a care in the world.

Has anyone else been through this process. I'm finding it very difficult so far....

I’m sorry you’re going through this but do try to remember that you can be sick and still sit in a garden. A photo is a brief snapshot and does not reflect reality of what your ex did that day or how he felt. For your own sanity block him on social media so you don’t have to see these posts and let the police do their jobs.

Sorry to hear this and good on u for going to police but I would be asking police why he wasn't arrested immediately not told to come in casually under caution uve made reports and police do this as he seems to be taken this seriously my friend was almost raped in the street at her car in front of her kids screaming her head of no one looked out the window she managed to get him off her by luck a couple of seconrs later the police were driving past and she ran out to them he was arrested 17 and sober doing this he told everyone it's lied I got dared at a party for pulling girls trousers down and she said I tried to rape her she was slatec for being at party at her age with we boys its destroyed het she's changed but she went to court and told real story that there was no party he did it random in street and he got 2 years on sex register then we found out he jumped bail twice was given bail again and a 15 years old fell asleep drunk at a party and he raped her she woke up just as his friend came in n witnessed it he got 6 years in jail were he should have been in first place not given bail 3 times but my friend is still seen as the bad one so make sure police take it seriously and they better not say ure word against his but most crimes are that
