We're employing a gardener to erect a bigger shed, do some planting and various other bits. I showed him where we wanted the shed and asked him to recommend the biggest one that would fit.
Turns out it was too big, so he had to turn it 90 degrees and cover part of the garden. The "finished" shed we were shown when we got home from work had a very wobbly floor and gaps in various places. I asked gatden to sort it, which he did, then we paid the £206 he quoted for erecting said shed.
He's now finished the planting and asked for an extra £40 for materials (fair enough) and £180 for shed work.
I think he's trying it on and want to reply that we've already paid for the shed work but will pay for materials. DH thinks we should pay as he did a good job in the end and he still has some work left you do
