These ones:

I am permanently on the lookout for summer shoes to wear when it rains.

What do you think of these? They look sooo comfy, but are they frumpy?

I would be wearing them mostly with linen cropped trousers or with casual dresses, if that helps.

Please give me your opinions!

I bloody love silver shoes and am a big trainer wearer so I clicked knowing I would like them. The price popped up before the picture and I was all set to change my mind as I got silver converse-type trainers from Primark last summer for about £6. But. The more I looked at the pic the more I liked them.
The only thing I have found is a propensity for cracking at the sides where your foot bends. But that might be because I buy from Primark. I didn’t have it when I had expensive silver sandals.

Good point, BurningGubbins - they are pricey and I wouldn't want them cracking. They are a bit cheaper on Amazon though and the reviews suggest the leather lasts well (not that I'm googling them and becoming obsessed or anything).

I like them, but would look out for similar for cheaper

I like them. But then, I have silver glitter trainers from Next... They were £30. These are quite spenny...

troodiedoo · 09/05/2018 10:26

I have gold Reeboks, love them. They do them in silver and rose gold too.

There have been lots of nice metallic trainers in TK Maxx recently, try the website and see what they have in your size.

timeisnotaline · 09/05/2018 10:31

I’d get them if I were going to spend £85. I am wearing my 3yo puma silver trainers to death as I can’t find a suitable and cheap replacement, I love them so much. I have searched for the same again but no luck.

Thanks, everyone - this has been really helpful! I'm off for a trawl around Primark/Next/TKMaxx/Reebok etc to see what similar stuff might be out there for comparison.

Good to know that this general style hopefully looks ok!

Dont like them, too preppy!

Chocolate1984 · 12/05/2018 16:56

superga do silver trainers for £30 on Amazon

timeisnotaline · 13/05/2018 00:40

I think the superga ones are canvas not leather. If I knew they were definitely comfy I’d buy them anyway though.

gonnabreakmyrustycage · 13/05/2018 00:43

Supergas are comfy.

I really like the toms ones

Flexoset · 13/05/2018 14:43

Ooh, lots of great ideas here!

Found a similar pair, with only a tiny Juicy Couture label on the bottom of the shoe (think allstar label) for a tenner at tkmaxx. I have reeboks and toms too. I think gold and silvers are neutral colours.

TheFairyCaravan · 11/08/2018 10:16

I’ve got silver Supergas. They are so comfy.
