WWYD - Nursery related

DS attends a nursery attached to a private school. The local state school is Outstanding but oversubscribed. I know that at least 4 children from the nursery have got places at the school, as we have, for September. (I presume this happens every year to a certain extent - the local school doesn't have a nursery so people go private and then move.)

My DC had a friend over at the weekend who I know is one of the children that won't be there next term and she said she would be in "Mrs X's class" (at the private school) after the summer and they were going into that class on Wednesday's soon. I told her mum when she came to pick her up and she is confused because she has given her notice in (have to give a term's notice) same as I have. She is having a word with them today.

Is it worth mentioning to the other parents who I know are leaving in case there is more than just this one oversight? I am hesitant because I wonder if they have decided to stay on after all and don't want their business talked about!

Nothing has been said to my DC about going for taster classes or being there next year.

Hi, just canvassing opinions. Would you want to know in case there has been an error??

Is it possible that all the nursery children are going to be in the Reception class on Wednesday afternoons? E.g. while the current Reception class is off doing PE or music or suchlike?

I imagine the children on a whole have been told they are starting to visit the reception class on these afternoons and the child repeated that to their mother. I doubt they’ll be separating the 5 children who are leaving from everything the class does from now on so they’ll probably go as well.

Ah maybe! My DC wasn't told but perhaps they just weren't around when others were told.

I do hope they don't take them all up though. I'll swap Wednesday afternoons to another day if so because I think it will be confusing if they they don't go to that class!
