I'm 30 if that makes any difference?

And it's only £15!

I have big boobs too, nothing worse than worrying about exposing too much while trying to chat, dance, have a good time! Same as length! Or heels that are too high!

It’s a celebration, a party, go equipped to have fun!

BigFatBloomers · 01/05/2018 23:39

I really like the first one. You’ll look great.

You could always go for nude heels and a bright clutch if you had one or could borrow one

I like the first one !

MadamGrumps · 02/05/2018 07:35

@BigFatBloomers what colour are you thinking for a bright colour?

Would a coloured belt work?

Sorry for so many advice qs, the wedding is sat so not many days to shop!

OP posts:
BigFatBloomers · 02/05/2018 08:51

I was picturing orange but i think other colours would work - pink, turquoise, jade green.

But if you don’t have one, I really wouldn’t worry. Nude will look great.

I don’t think the dress needs a belt. Where is it from? It is really nice and looks easy to wear.

MadamGrumps · 02/05/2018 16:13

I don't have any nude shoes or nice bags either so will be buying a pair regardless Grin

I love bigbloomers idea of a bright vibrant coloured thin belt and matching clutch. With black shoes.

Primark do some bright hot pinks, jade green etc

MadMags · 02/05/2018 17:33

I think pink would be lovely! A hot pink.

Dozer · 02/05/2018 17:38

First one in latest pics looks nice and could be worn for many different occasions. Alternatively if it’s really just for the one event do you have any friends who might lend you a dress? Or a bag or other accessory?

Undercoverbanana · 02/05/2018 17:46

You’re only 30!!!!! I’m 50 and think the length and cut of those first dresses are really frumpy and too much fabric. Embrace being 30!!!

MadamGrumps · 02/05/2018 18:38

Grin I know I'm a frump aren't I, it's all down to confidence though and sadly I don't have a dot of it.

Before 2 children I was a size 10 and would wear the skimpiest I could get away with but 9 years and a few stone later I just don't have a clue what's fashionable and couldn't wear it even if I did know.

Undercoverbanana · 02/05/2018 18:51

OP - it’s not about fashion or being skimpy - it’s about what do you actually like?

What colours make you happy? What styles make you feel good? What are your good points? Long legs? Pert bum? Slim waist? Toned arms?

Shedmicehugh1 · 02/05/2018 18:56

I don’t think it’s frumpy! It’s classy, even if are a size 8 and 20 years old, doesn’t mean you have to expose everything!!

The supposed rule is no boobs and legs at the same time! One or other!

Personally I think that’s rubbish, it’s all about feeling comfortable and confident!

MadamGrumps · 02/05/2018 19:36

My only good point is my hair which aside from a grey streak is long and lovely.

When I am slimmer I have a hour glass shape. I still have a slight one but to highlight means stuff is usually too tight for my comfort over hips and bum. My boobs are breastfed droopy and My tummy is v.wobbly so I never go for anything tight.

I also never go out (me and dh have been out together 3 times on our own in the 9 years we've been together) so live in skinny jeans/jeggings and long tops that cover bum.

I want to look nice and feel comfortable for the wedding but I didn't know where to start!

Shedmicehugh1 · 02/05/2018 20:02

You’ve made a start! You’ve chosen a dress you will feel comfortable in!

Trust me OP you are worrying so unnecessary (I have a few years on you eek!, not sure where time has gone!) you really do not judge someone on what they wear! Or maybe some do, the sort you avoid!

It really is about confidence and feeling good (fuck the few extra pounds!) I worried so much back in day! (I’m not 70 btw!)

Confidence is the key! If you feel comfortable, confidence will ooze! you will knock everyone dead! Even the slim etc!

MadamGrumps · 02/05/2018 20:08

Ah thank you, sorry this has turned a bit ConfusedBlush

So..what about a red belt and clutch? With red lips and either nude or black shoes??

OP posts:
Shedmicehugh1 · 02/05/2018 20:19

Red would work, but not nude shoes, black if you are going for red vibrant accessories and lips!

Red is very confident, power colour!

MadamGrumps · 02/05/2018 20:52

Eeek looks like I'm sorted then!

Can't thank you all enough for the help, heading to town in the morning and if that fails I can do next day delivery. Nothing like leaving it til the last minute Grin
