My sons 2nd birthday present idea?

I have been thinking of getting him something to use water with as he really really really loves the hose.

Is a sprinkler a ridiculous birthday present?

My relatives are all contributing to an outdoor toy perhaps a wooden climbing frame and I don't want to overwhelm the garden even though it is big.

The trouble with the outdoor stuff is that during the winter months it will have less use

Does anyone have some tips on what I could get him?

I don't have a budget really but I think it's vulgar to spend too much money on a small child who doesn't get it and would be better served having parents who are sensible with money.

What about one of those electric cars... that you sit in? Or is that really chavvy?
He loves dolls and has lots of them already so maybe something for his babies like a crib?

Help me 😬

I think it's a great idea (but then again we bought DS1 a hose for his 3rd Christmas!)

I think a sprinkler does sound a bit odd as a Birthday present for a two yr old but you will know if he will get entertainment from it.
If he like water, how about a sand/water table ? And maybe one of those water play waterfall type things. Not sure what they're called. I'll find a picture.

What about the little tykes sprinkler ball? It's £11 in Tesco probably cheaper than a normal sprinkler I've been eyeing it up for DD

I bought one of mine a sprinkler and a hose at about the same age. She loved it!

We brought this paw patrol backpack water blaster for birthday present plenty of use before winter comes. It is great has two settings to sprinkle water or come out like a hose.

This kind of thing might be good too?

For my sons 2nd birthday I bought in inflatable whale thingy that attached to the hose and sprayed water. Got more use than any other present!!

I live in the southeast so would feel uneasy about wasting water.
A rocking outdoor toy that can come inside in the winter.
A doll's buggy
Toy kitchen
Water/ sand tray thingy
Little table and chairs
Football net ( mini) +ball
Scooter
Bike

I went to the shop the other day and got

A toy lawn mower
A tepee
A bubble machine
Clay

I think I'm going to panic order a squirty toy in time for the blazing weather this weekend

And we are going to take him out.
