To be worn with leather biker and either black pistol ankle boots/white trainers...

It actually looks great on I think but it just shouldn’t... looks like it should be dated but maybe that’s just because I remember this kind of thing from the 90s.... can’t work out whether it’s a keeper...

I think it's nice. If I had the right figure I'd definitely wear it.

monkeychickenpig · 16/04/2018 15:33

Yes provided your slim or your legs will not look very good they will look stumpy with ankle boots and a midi dress

zippyswife · 16/04/2018 15:42

Legs aren’t a problem with me (many things are but not legs!) I’m a tall 10-12 with a tummy but due to the draping thing in the middle (not sure if you can see that in the pics) it’s not overly obvious. I usually hate draping/ruching on the tummy as it screams this is what I’m trying to hide... so I’m just a little reluctant. I just wonder if anyone would even notice!!

Would a leather biker and converse/superga look weird with it?

No I think a leather jacket and converse (white?) would look good?
I also wear sneakers from a brand called Seven Feet Apart, look them up.
Is the jacket black?

The ruffles will flatter a belly I agree with you!
Lucky you having nice legs ❤️ I am so small but I hate my legs and they just do not do me justice.

zippyswife · 16/04/2018 15:56

Thanks for the advice. The jacket is an ink blue (nearly black). I was thinking white converse.

Yes my legs are decent. It took me till nearly my 40s to have the guts to show them though!! My stomach is a wreck though- but doesn’t seem to be too obvious in this. And with age I definitely have a more feck it approach.

Going to look up seven feet apart now....

It's nice!

monkeychickenpig · 16/04/2018 16:01

Yes an inky blue leather jacket would be even better, that dress is a bargain!! Enjoy

Ohyesiam · 16/04/2018 16:02

I didn’t like it till you said how you were styling it. Sounds great.

zippyswife · 16/04/2018 16:20

Thanks for the positive comments. That’s totally made my mind up now. Do you think with the jacket and converse it’s dressed down enough for a London pub on a Saturday night? I don’t go out so much these days!!

OP posts:
monkeychickenpig · 16/04/2018 16:22

@zippyswife def think that is dressed up enough
I always think confidence is the best outfit
Gosh I can't wait for the weather to improve

zippyswife · 16/04/2018 16:24

Me too. There’s nothing more feel good than shorts weather. Bring it on.

Looks great.

Ritzsaltedcrackers · 17/04/2018 16:14

Really nice, you’d need toned arms though.

zippyswife · 18/04/2018 12:01

Thanks. Arms fairly ok. Going to wear it at the weekend!

Baubletrouble43 · 18/04/2018 12:29

It's lovely. You sound like you have the figure to pull it off. I don't! X

zippyswife · 18/04/2018 12:36

My stomach is a wreck but seems to be fairly hidden in it! Arms and legs are ok. Could be an all round winner.
