How to change our world?

It seems huge.
There are SO many nuances.
Political leanings.
Religious beliefs.
Social mores.
Can we put those aside for now. Getting down to the ‘nub’ we (surely?) all want the same things.
Everyone to have enough to eat and drink.
Basic healthcare.
To stop global warming (and for the naysayers...even if it’s not real then doing what would help would make the Earth a better place anyway)
To look after this planet and all it’s inhabitants.
These things are the foundation, how to we walk toward them? We seem to all be wandering around with no real direction. How do we join hands to change this world so our children can be happy and be proud of us? If this is what we need how can we all start focusing in on it? I was struck by the #metoo movement. Is there some way we can get real change for the Earth? Heck if the Daily Mail want to pick up this story at least it would be a start!
Can we all join together? How do we make things change?

Care needs to come to the fore and with it women and their perspectives of context and everything they can add to the world. We need to value care and responsibilities and move away from power driven capitalism so life is more equal and it is ok to care.

Thank you. Yes, you’re right. Kindness is paramount.
I just want us to make it happen. Not keep waiting for the tide to slowly turn.

The thing that gets so many people so angry and leads to their personal misery is them fighting a fight they cannot win. You can't change the world. It won't happen.

You can, however, change yourself. Be the little light within the darkness and some others around you may catch some of it.

Anything else is futile.

I watched a really interesting film where a CIA agent said that she had realised that what everyone on all sides wanted was the world to be a better place for their children. The problem was the vast difference in what people believed that better place should look like.

I don't think that we will ever reach a state where everyone is pulling together in the same direction

Terrance McKenna is more articulate than me, here's his take on it:
