How can I completely block someone

I have a relative on Facebook who I wish to go completely no contact with. They are a violent bully and i know it isn't going to go down well.

I'm going to block them and thinking of changing my name too to stop them being able to search for me on someone else's account - is there anything else I can do?

You can make yourself unsearchable (pretty sure that's not even a word!) - or at least you used to be able to. I used this a few years ago.
That means nobody can find you unless you are friends with them.
Using a made up name is a good idea, just ensure it doesn't link back to you by email address/phone number or anything.
You can also lock your profile down so even if they found you they wouldn't see anything at all.

Thanks Sugar I'll look in to all those things. I might de-activate my account for a bit and then re-activate it without them as a friend on there. There's going to be fall out I just want to be as uncontactable as possible!
