Red/purple spot on 9 week old baby!?

Hi all.

Please give me some advice, my newborn had his first set of needles yesterday, I noticed lastnight when taking his plasters off that he had a tiny red/purple spot on his lower part of his leg (he had his needles at the top of his leg) it looks almost like a blood spot under the skin, I tried the glass test and the spot does not disappear with pressure so now I'm worried! Spot it still there today but does not look worse or different just the same as yesterday. First time mum so need to know what I should do, Am I over worrying or should I call 111?

Should also mention baby hasn't pooed properly since birth but doctors thinks that's down to milk so we have now changed in the last couple of days.

I don't know what it is but I wouldn't think it would be anything to worry about if it's just one spot. Could he have just knocked himself on something? I remember the early days of constant worrying, it's hard!

Could it be a bruise from the injections?

Definitely phone 111 for a baby of this age if spot not disappearing with glass test. Hopefully everything is fine but you may as well be on safe side.
