So we ordered a birthday cake from a very popular high street shop online 2weeks ago to collect today so would be fresh for this evening. However when we went to collect the cake this afternoon it was 'missing' they checked Deliveries & shop floor & it was nowhere. It was a On Order cake only & not something they Stock in store. They offered as good will to give me a full refund & I can still take one of there ready made cakes, so I did because it was too short notice to get a cake from anywhere else.

I was okay with that. However when we cut the cake this evening it was so dry & so embarrassing infront of our guests! I'm so annoyed!

What should I do? I understand they gave me a refund but it's spoilt our evening.

It's a tough one because you accepted the compromise or offer so to kick up a fuss now might be a bit backwards , but I totally get your annoyance it's not like you had much of a choice.
What was the event ? How important was it ? Did anyone comment on the dryness of the cake ?
I would maybe write an email if you can find an address and maybe I sit to find out what happened to the original cake or if it was even made ?
Also maybe leave a bad review ? Apart from that I'm not too sure what you could do Confused

jacob thank you for your message. It was my sisters birthday & yes she herself commented & said she doesn't want to be fed anymore 'as the cake is really dry' so of course everyone looked at me because I go on & on about there cakes & then this happens

I’d either complain or leave a bad online review.
