Hi all, I'm a single mum with a beautiful 2 year old boy, who is my world. However recently i have started to feel a bit lonely and found myself exploring Tinder.
I got chatting to this guy via whatsapp, who lives over 100 miles away, after matching on Tinder. He told me he has recently separated from his wife after 9 years of marriage, because she was unfaithful. We had been talking for just over a week when i had a planned visit to my home town, so we agreed to meet up. We had an amazing time, and went for a meal, he was easy to chat to and we ended up being the last people o leave the restaurant. Anyway we are still chatting constantly on whatsapp and he is coming back up weekend after next and has suggested another date.
However today i received a text message from a number i don't know, asking if i am the woman that went on date with her husband last week, and been flirting with him on whatsapp? I'm a bit freaked out as she also know my first name.
I'm not really sure what to do, she i stop/block all contact with him, or tell him about the message ?

I would message the woman back and say “hi I went on a date with x, he told me he was separated, is this not the case?”

You have done nothing wrong as you thought he was single, she has also done nothing wrong if he is lying about the separation. Try and get the facts. But it also sounds like it would be a messy situation to be getting into, probably not what you need.

What Mrstumbletap said. Though I would change it to " “hi I went on a date with x, I met him on Tinder where he is listed as single he told me he was separated, is this not the case?”

What @Mrstumbletap said. Sounds like the guy my friend last dated. Said he was divorcing, yet still wore ring. He knew I knew what he was up to as he always used to say 'was I ok'. Ended up splitting up with her, knowing the whole time she wanted to settle down.
