Where to advertise a small business?

I'm not getting anywhere with Gumtree!

It's a new business, started up by me alone.

I've added myself to Google, just waiting for it to be verified.

Also adding myself to FB but it's a lot of faff.

Any other ideas?

I did look into local shop windows etc but they want a ridiculous amount per day.

I have looked into doing business cards, and I'm going to go for it, but need to consider what type to go for (I have my own logo but not sure on card type, I.e fancy hard back paper or just cheap and cheerful).

American Psycho has made me overthink that one (inside joke) Blush

There is a reason Facebook and google get 80% of marketing spend. It's the best place to absolutely target your marketing. Why put a leaflet in a window where you might or might not reach your market when for a small amount of money you can reach exactly who you want with Facebook ads.

I set up a fb page for my small business and got friends to share it. I also posted links to my page on local selling groups.

It gave me a massive head start and reached hundreds of people in a matter of hours.
