Lazy siblings

Just wondering how people would deal with this situation. I’m the eldest of 3 siblings. My brother is only a year younger than me. We are both in our forties the youngest is in her thirties. I’m a single mother and work with 2 young children; my brother is single with no children and works from home; my sister is married with a child and isn’t working. As the eldest I often have to do stuff that they don’t. When our father died they didn’t do anything at all. I get very annoyed by the situation. It’s alwsys been like this, my brother is bone idle and my sister still acts like she is the baby of the family. I’m sick of it. I’m very vocal about this but if I say something I’m immediately regarded as in the wrong. My sister and mum aren’t annoyed by my brothers laziness and so they all go off and do things together and me and my children are left out. It was my sons birthday recently and I had to ask a friend to help and they turned up as guests and didn’t do anything to help. How would you handle this?

Stop doing stuff for them

Don't feel bad about cutting people out of your life. I have 3 sisters I never talk to because they never make an effort. I've tried, failed, and given up. Focus on people who give as much as you, family or otherwise.

I'm the eldest child, I did end up with all the Mother jobs, doctors, hospital and generally sorting everything out since she was diagnosed with dementia in 2014. I'm moving 40 miles away so the other 3 will have to step up. My sister has recently become a lot more involved to be fair, but the brothers don't do anything apart from phone her.
