Redecorating our master bedroom, this is for the wall behind the bed. We have a bed, nightstand, wardrobe etc from this range

Ivy or stripes?

Stripes. The ivy looks "alive" - think it would be too much as a whole wall.

RyvitaBrevis · 23/03/2018 17:04

Stripes!

katplva · 23/03/2018 17:04

I think I prefer the ivy, it's softer and more interesting than the stripes. But both are nice Smile

Chienrouge · 23/03/2018 17:06

Stripes. Really really dislike the Ivy.

FloydOnThePull · 23/03/2018 17:15

I can only assume my DH has bribed all you stripe people!

Fair enough, we're hoping to sell in the next year or so, so the less controversial the better.

Stripes.

Lobsterface · 23/03/2018 17:17

I thought this was a baby name thread Sad

FloydOnThePull · 23/03/2018 17:20

Haha lobster I am currently 28 weeks pg so I guess we could consider baby Stripes...

Ivy for the baby and stripes for the wall. Smile

ScreamingValenta · 23/03/2018 18:54

Definitely stripes if you're planning to sell soon - neutral and inoffensive. The ivy is a 'love it or hate it' design.

ivykaty44 · 23/03/2018 18:54

Don’t like either sorry

CarpeVitam · 23/03/2018 18:55

Definitely the stripes!

PurpleRobe · 23/03/2018 23:27

Stripes

MysteriousSheep · 23/03/2018 23:52

Stripes for sure. The ivy is gross sorry (IMO)

SimonBridges · 23/03/2018 23:59

Ivy.
Stripes are dull.

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/03/2018 00:30

Stripes if you're reselling. I think I'd have to see the ivy in person.

ErrolTheDragon · 24/03/2018 10:00

The ivy is straying into 'feature wall' territory - ok (I suppose) if you adored it and were going to live in the house for 20 years, but definitely not if you are planning to sell.

millimat · 24/03/2018 22:32

Slightly off topic, but what is a Nightstand?Confused

FloydOnThePull · 24/03/2018 23:41

Bedside table. No idea where I picked the term up from (probably from spending 3 years constantly checking the price of the bloody things on the website until they were on sale at a price that didn't make me feel queasy - lesson learned for the next time I chose a bed frame!)

I think it's an Americanism?

KeepingMySpreadsheetUpToDate · 25/03/2018 10:02

Stripes. Esp if selling house

DannyLaRuesBestFrock · 25/03/2018 11:22

That ivy would look creepy AF

Pumpkintopf · 25/03/2018 22:06

Def stripes.

Freyanna · 25/03/2018 22:07

Stripes for me.

TheJoyOfSox · 25/03/2018 22:11

I prefer the ivy, but if I was decorating with a view to selling I’d go for the stripes.
