Blonde hair - thought I'd try new topic!

I have very very blonde home dyed hair. Bless DH has paid for me to get it coloured by a 'proper' hairdresser later on today.

The reason it's so light is that unfortunately I'm already really quite grey, this shows itself as white in my hair hence it needing to be quite light in order to blend! But it's too light and I'd like something a bit fancier, so seeing as we have a new topic - is this nice?

Oooh, a new topic.

I think it looks very nice (am also a home-dyed blonde :-)

OuchLegoHurts · 23/03/2018 11:07

That's gorgeous

DBoo · 23/03/2018 11:09

Love that. Do your roots come through quite quickly a d are they very grey? If you aren't planning on regular trips to the salon I would think about asking for a short root stretch and asking what colour they used for that so you can buy the same colour and top roots up at home as and when required. Would be easy to maintain and I'm thinking of similar for myself as I can't afford salon visits all the time.

IIN. I'm trying a new acronym!

SnowiestMountain · 23/03/2018 13:55

It is nice?! I hope so, I think I'm going to go for it!

Its Nice, Lovely colour.

Looking forward to the before and after photos.Grin

lollipopjones · 23/03/2018 17:46

I'm also a home dyer and since starting the menopause the colour just doesn't look right. So I want to start having it dyed at the hairdressers.

That pic is so nice I'm going to take it to show it's how I want my hair as well.

lollipopjones · 23/03/2018 17:47

Would love to see it once you've had it done, OP x

SnowiestMountain · 23/03/2018 19:07

Its done! I can't post any more pictures today though as I've exceeded my quota! It's not quite like the picture as it was so all over bleached that apparently it needs a more gradual change! I do have beautiful golden highlights though so it's a good start!

That pic has loads of colours through it . Be amazed by if you could do that at Home !

millimat · 23/03/2018 22:50

Look forward to seeing a picture.

Dandellion · 24/03/2018 18:21

I think that's called balayage or something like that? Looks beautiful.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 29/03/2018 21:47

Yes, it's nice. I need to wait until I'm very grey until I go blonde, my old natural colour was almost black, so I'd need to bleach my hair to death. Sad

neighbourhoodwitch · 29/03/2018 21:51

my God, stunning! xx

Vinorosso74 · 29/03/2018 21:51

I love that hair and wish I could cultivate such locks. Sadly crap genes and perimenopause mean a well cut bob works best right now.

MadameJosephine · 31/03/2018 09:35

Would love to see a picture OP. I’ve been dyeing my hair at home for 30 years and roots now very grey. Not quite ready to embrace the grey but looking for something more subtle

dudsville · 31/03/2018 09:38

That so pretty! And I always tell hairdressers that your style is how I want mine finished and yet I always come out with silly curls so I'm also envious.

sportyfool · 31/03/2018 11:57

My hair basically looks like that , I have balayage and use a big barrel wand ( I have super curly hair but prefer a softer look ) ... I do think you need thick hair to get that effect .
