Birthday present

It's OH birthday tomorrow.
Have booked a surprise weekend away for us and children.
I have got him some other gifts to be wrapped too.
Do I give him gifts tomorrow and surprise him on friday (when we leave) with going away or tell him tomorrow on his birthday?
Thoughts please???

Does he need to plan anything to be able to leave on Friday? If so, tell him, if not, a surprise may be nice. I wouldn't like a last minute surprise but I have many things I would need to jig about, but if you think he would, go for it.
