So I have just passed my test on manual, have taken lessons on and off for 5years as I kept having breaks whenever I had my baby, finally passed on manual, now what I wanted to ask is, should I buy a automatic car as my first car? I am looking to buy a BMW 1-Series as my first car as I have 3 kids, I am 50/50 as to go for manual or auto, my husband thinks auto will be safer for me and the kids in case I stall on a junction or something as am a new driver, but surely if I go for automatic I will get the hang of it soon? I just don’t want to forget his manuals work if I go for auto as my first car??
What would you do with 3 kids?

Manual. Once you're used to it, you'll never forget, even if your next car is an automatic, but if you go auto before the skills are embedded it'll be hard to go back. Keep your options open for now.
