PCOS and smear test

Just received my invite for my first smear. I have PCOS. Has anyone had experience of having their smear with this, did it show ambormal cells? Extremely nervous

I have PCOS and never had a bad smear result. PCOS doesn’t affect your cervix.

As far as I’m aware they’re entirely unrelated. A smear test sample is taken from your cervix. PCOS won’t make you any more likely to have an abnormal smear.

They are unrelated. Don't worry about the smear test I would advice any one go for them when invited I didn't I put mine off for 3 years luckily GP made me have it as mine came back abnormal grade 3 as I left it but thank god it wasn't cancerous but if the GP didn't make me have it who knows it could of been so please go for it as soon as you can
