And I can clearly see from my bedroom she is camming!
As in she is a cam girl.

My house sits about 5 foot higher than the houses opposite mine so my living room window is between her living room and bedroom, and my bedroom window is therefore higher than hers and I can see right in.

A couple of women moved in a few weeks back and are renting the house.

Each to their own but I have a 3yr old DD who could quite easily walk into my bedroom and see what she is doing.

I'm friendly with her next door neighbour and she has just informed me when they moved in they told her that they worked from home in social media marketing

I suppose I'm asking what would you do? I'm not confrontational at all so I can't see myself going over and knocking asking them to shut the blinds, especially as I would have to bring my daughter with me 😂

Teach DD nice and early that its impolite to look through others windows and ignore it. They are perfectly entitled to do what they like in their own home, just as you are in yours. Your DD is too young to understand whata going on but if it bothers you that much, close the curtains when she is in your room.

Out of interest, how much time do the two of you spend looking out of the window?! Because we really don't, so struggling to see why this is even an issue to be honest

Its not about looking out of your own windows, its about looking in to other peoples! They can do as they like in their own houses, and if you don't like it the onus is on you to not look, not on them to stop.

I had a neighbour who used to come home and undress in front of his open blinds, if you had to close your windows and blinds for the evening, it was impossible not to see as it was in your eye line.

I'd write a note but stay friendly. Just explain why you want to avoid seeing it. As someone who takes artsy pictures, they need to be open for the lighting to be right but a flood light will work just as well.

Sorry had no internet for a few days.

My sofa is opposite my livingroom window, I can also see from there, I'm not going out of my way to look at her I happened to notice as I walked into my bedroom, it was hard to miss seeing as she has a bright light illuminating her.
I'm not going to have my curtains closed all the time because of it that's ridiculous 🙄

I also must add I have no problem with what she's doing, but if I wanted to see that I would go looking for the sites for it, not expect to see it any time I walk into my bedroom or glance up whilst sat on the sofa.

I popped a polite note in, saying welcome to the street, and to make them aware I had noticed I could see directly in when they have the blinds wide open.

Since then they have been half shutting them during the day but closing them at night, but her next door neighbour who I'm friendly with has said the seem to be having lots of visitors at nighttime as they can hear them coming and going at all hours (they have a young baby and very thin walls)

@ExcuseTheCheese she had one of those umbrellas with the light inside (no idea the correct terminology) so I don't think it was about getting the right lighting?

Keeping the let agreed sign up is good business promotion for the agency so they may not be intending to take it down for some time.

As someone who was an agent for a long time and saw and heard about a lot, visitors all hours of the night usually spells drugs or prostitution to me. Perhaps they have multiple co-stars of a night!?

It could have still been about the light or I used to get condensation if my blinds were closed in a humid room if the windows were shut (I'm assuming they would be if they don't want people to hear?), the light may add to that but at least they've taken heed of your note.

I'm really hoping it's not drugs or prostitution, although I'm sure if it is it will soon become apparent as my mum (who lives next door to me) works within an organisation that works with vulnerable adults due to drugs and prostitution, and I'm about to begin a new career that would make me a very undesirable neighbour to a drug dealer or brothel 😂😂
