FT v PT work

More of a what would you choose: FT work means having more money but no time to spend with kids apart from 90 minutes every night. They go to breakfast club and after school club. I’m Constantly exhausted and putting on more and more weight and feeling very unhappy.

Part time work means lots of time with children. No breakfast club or after school club but totally skint. Will have time to cook properly and exercise etc.

For context no family nearby, single parent and no help whatsoever with maintenance or childcare. Don’t know anyone in my area. Can’t meet parents due to breakfast and free school clubs so don’t see anyone. Kids have a few more years of primary school.

How old are the dc? If very young I'd continue pt for now, can you do free lance/overtime in term time during school hours to boost your income whilst working pt?

Depends on the nature of part-time. I work 4 full days and use before/after school clubs, then my day off is the day I enjoy doing the school run, getting jobs done etc. My primary school dc loves before/after school club too.

Personally I wouldn't want to work just school hours (which I guess is your part time option), but that's just me.
