Would you go abroad for fertility treatment?

Hi everyone - DH and I need fertility treatment with donor eggs to give us a chance of having a baby. We are entitled to 2 NHS cycles but we'd have to apply to transfer our NHS funding to a private clinic to obtain donor eggs. Nobody seems to be able to tell us how to do this - my GP, anyone I've spoken to at the CCG, the IVF clinic we had a consultation at. Everyone is giving us contradictory information, or not responding to calls/messages etc. to the point where we're now months down the line from the original assessment and having got no further. I'm also massively stressed and frustrated.

So, in desperation, we're going to use our savings and go private. In the UK that means around £6000 per cycle; in Prague it's €6300 for three cycles (one with fresh eggs, a second with frozen eggs, and then a third free one if the first two don't work). The clinic is called Praga Medica.

I feel quite worried about going abroad, but obviously the price difference is huge. WWYD?
