Relocating back to the U.K. with a child

Hello,

DH and I have been living overseas for the past 7 years and we have decided it is time to move back to the U.K.
The only thing is we now have a 5 year old.
We lived in London before but now are thinking of moving to the south - maybe Ewell, Epsom or Woking area.
I will be working in Victoria so fast train links are essential. DH is probably going to work in the Woking area (awaiting confirmation on that).

So I have a few questions:
What are nice areas / villages near these places (looking to rent 2-3 bed semi with a garden) considering fast train commute to Victoria and good primary schools?
What do I need to do in regards with LO's school registration for state schools? How does it work as we will only be relocating beginning of August? I believe we have already missed the normal deadline for pupils registration.
Finally, how do you working mums cope with full time work and the school run? Do you have a child minder? Are there after school clubs or care available at every school or is it a separate thing I need to go and research?
I am totally lost!

I would be thankful for any guidance and advice. Smile

Apologies for the long post.
TIA!!
