Funeral attire

Quick poll- am going to the funeral of an old family friend later. I have black trousers and a smart dark blouse but do not own a black or dark coat. The only black jacket I have is flimsy and it's freezing out.

Do you think it would be inappropriate to wear my warm camel coloured coat? Or should I just suck it up and freeze in the flimsy jacket.
TIA

No that's absolutely fine. When it comes to funeral attire, as long as it's respectful I think it's 👍

Yeah camel is fine, its smart and its winter

Camel coat is fine. It’s suitabky sombre. Red velvet with diamanté bytyons would not be suitable, but plain camel is fine.

I have been to 2 funerals recently. There was less black than I might have expected, but everyone was plainly dressed in dark colours, maybe with a white shirt.

I think it's fine.
