Would you go out?

I am due to go out with a few close friends this evening for drinks and dinner. We haven't seen each other in a long time so had been really looking forward to it.

Except I have had a sore throat since Xmas eve. I feel fine in myself (no temperature or tiredness) which makes me think that it might be acid reflux which is causing the sore throat, hoarseness and tickly cough. I have had medication for reflux from Dr before but I have not had a sore throat this bad from it before.

So would you go out? I can dose up on painkillers but my main concern is that if I might have a virus and risk passing it on.

I tend to overthink these things so not sure if I am over thinking this!

I am not a doctor but you have had this sore throat since Xmas eve and it has not developed into a fever, cold or flu by now then its hardly a virus. Why have you not seen a doctor?
You must have seen other people between xmas and today and you have not infected them. So if you feel well enough go out with your friends but also go to see a doctor.

I would go out and enjoy yourself, most people have cold & couchs etc at this time of the year so your not going to infect them more than the average person sitting beside you in the bar :-)
