I sold an item on FB - much much cheaper than on eBay. The buyer picked it up, took it home then several days later, complained about the condition.
I replied sayIng that I was sorry but they had simply picked up the item without looking at it and it was obviously not going to be immaculate as it was so cheap. They had been welcome to check it all on pickup. I'd also held the item for 2 weeks as they were busy. Personally I thought they'd got a bargain and I'd made no descriptions that it was "as new"or anything like that.
Surely if you buy something really cheap and PICK IT UP, it's not my fault if it's then not what you were expecting?!
I've often sold stuff through FB groups and have never had this problem.
They seem to think I've scammed them but I honestly haven't. I don't see why I should give them their money back . Any thoughts?
