Am I overreacting?

Just wondered it probably seems very petty but wanted others opinions. I am almost 26 weeks pregnant and was Home alone in the Flat last night (OH out for the evening) I wasn’t asleep but in PJs in bed watching TV and earlier in the day had taken in a small parcel for my neighbour. Tried knocking for them about 6pm to give it to them no answer. Then at 9.50pm the neighbour who has never spoken to me before knocks for the parcel I ignore it for abit but she continues to knock really loudly so I have no other choice but answer the door (she would have kept going) I was cross and made that known to her and informed her I was pregnant. Am I in the wrong? I think 9.50 pm is too late to knock and would have waited till the following morning? What do others think?

I think she was rude.. especially to keep knocking, regardless of you being pregnant!

Gizlotsmum · 23/12/2017 07:41

I wouldn’t call for a parcel that late, but she didn’t know you were alone I assume and she may be leaving early today so thought last night was better than early this morning?

Your pregnancy is irrelevant. It was a bit rude of her to knock at 9:50.
Let it go. It’s not important.

What has being pregnant got to do with anything?

9:50pm is late but if I was up I would have just handed over the parcel

Indigo911 · 23/12/2017 08:05

Maybe she really needed it for Xmas and was going home early this morning or something. Was she apologetic for knocking late?

DoculamentDoculament · 23/12/2017 08:06

Too late to call for it imo.

But what has being pregnant got to do with it?

Violet85 · 23/12/2017 08:53

True she didn’t know and it probably is irrelevant. I said it to her to kind of justify why I wasn’t keen to answer as I am way more tired than I usually am. I just think it’s rude to continue knocking when I clearly didn’t want to answer the door. I of course will let it go and know it’s petty!
I would never ring for someone Past about 9pm you never know if people have kids sleeping etc!
