Wording for Christening Invitation and Gifts

We are having our son baptized in my home country in early January and I we really don't want any gifts. Not only does he not need anything, we don't really have the capacity to bring anything back as we will already be lugging a load of Christmas presents already.

I wasn't sure if people even give gifts at a Christening, but from a google it appears to be the done thing. What should we put on the invitation???

I was thinking something along the lines of...

In lieu of gifts, please make donation to the Food Bank

Then we could ask for money or food? I'm just really unsure how to word it... Help.

"As we will be travelling back to (country) and won't have luggage space please may we request no gifts. (Babyname) has everything he needs. It is enough for us to have you with us to celebrate this special day"

I wouldn't direct people to a charity. They can pick their own charity if they want to make a gesture like that.
