I have had to NC for this.
We don't know what to do.
Details are:
Son, late twenties, married for a year, with a child.
Over the last 8 months he has:
Gone missing repeatedly, turning up drunk days later
Slept with other women
Ran up debts
Hit family members
Slept rough and been found in doorways
Been picked up and taken to safety by the police
Threatened to kill himself when drunk
Plays the victim when he is sober

He is off work and about to lose his job (a job that would end if he breaks the law).

We don't know where to turn.
He says he has been to the doctor and he says there is no help. He can't be given medication to stop drinking until January...he says, we don't know of course that that is true.

He has gone again this weekend, we don't know where he is, we don't know what to do.

What help is out there?
We feel there isn't any, we feel that there is no prevention; he might be picked up if he breaks the law, he might be taken to hospital if he tries to kill himself, but what about now.
We feel his life, marriage, money, job is slipping away, it is tearing the family apart.

Any advice appreciated.
