Hello. I need some help please. Bought two items of baby clothes from Tescos as a present. Now that the baby has arrived we found that one of the items still has its security tag on. The receipt has long been eaten by our pup so I worry that if we take the stuff back to the shop they may assume that it's been stolen and do God knows what. Any advice?

Just use brute force and remove it ! Happened to me with next wellies last week. Pair of pliers and a good yank sorted it !!

Did you use a Club Card when you paid? Did it come up on your bank statement? It may well show up on either. I'm sure you could go back to customer serice and ask for it to be removed without arousing too much suspicion.

That happened to me but it was a tag on a gift. I took it into Debenhams and explained the situation and they took the tag off without any issues. I would take it into Tesco and explain.
