*not sure if this is in the right place.

What are you getting teachers and assistants this year? Also does anyone buy for other staff? Senco? Lunch staff? Head? Office? Would a sharing box of chocolates be more offensive than not bothering?

I have 4 children all in different classes, all with Teacher’s Assistants, and all the staff are wonderful and go above and beyond their job descriptions. So what are you getting? I’m looking for nice ideas that won’t require me remortgaging to get everyone something.

Only been through one year so far, but consensus seemed to be that it’s fine not to do Xmas presents and instead parents chip in to buy vouchers at end of year. We did give Xmas cards and small box of chocs to teachers and TA as I felt bad giving nothing, but in hindsight I think cards would’ve been enough. Most parents contributed to year end collections and we ended up with enough to get really good amount of John Lewis vouchers for teachers and TAs.

You’re all awesome. I’ll do a few biscuits/chocolate boxes for the staff room, and cards to all as well as offers of help (love that idea) and Costa gift cards. Senco is a teacher too so she will get stuff from her class I suppose, but she is lovely and so helpful. Thanks everyone
